** Each show is tailored to your audience, event theme, and budget — and many groups invite John back frequently to enjoy new amazing material each time.
** Venues with changing populations such as senior centers, libraries and schools are encouraged to ask about our reduced-rate plan, which offers lower costs as well as the convenience of dependable programming. Under that plan, we visit approximately every three to six months with alternate programs, which are repeated annually.
** John has extensive experience in performing for school groups, service organizations, fraternal societies, library reading programs, private parties, banquets and other corporate events, fund-raisers, weddings, baby showers and much more!
** Communities we serve include Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Albion, Jackson, Marshall, Lansing, Mason, Richland, Hastings, Coldwater, Three Rivers, Sturgis, Charlotte, Olivet, Hillsdale, Angola and all points between.
** Our programs are best enjoyed by groups of up to 60 guests — intimate gatherings permitting real interaction and big reactions. For events involving more than 60 people, we recommend our “strolling” option, allowing more close-up time to inspire laughs, surprises and exclusive, personal moments of miraculous fun.

For more than 35 years, John has brought Charles Dickens to life through live events that re-create the Victorian-era author's dramatic reading of his famous tale, "A Christmas Carol." This dynamic program serves as both an educational program and an entertaining experience, and it can be tailored as a one-hour event.

For many years, MysteryVisits organized live events featuring Mr. Sherlock Holmes, who captivated audiences with his intriguing cases and shared his astonishing observational and deductive skills. Mr. Holmes is now retired but is poised to contribute his insights to your event through interactive educational programs.

John has been a stage actor and director for professional and amateur productions across various U.S. and international venues. He also serves as the artistic director emeritus for the production company of The Victorian Villa Inn, a celebrated travelers' destination in Union City, Michigan. In 1986, he began to develop his characterization of Sherlock Holmes, ultimately bringing the great detective to a diverse range of live shows in nearly a dozen U.S. states. At the request of the Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street in London, he welcomed visitors as Holmes, enhancing the public relations of this iconic site. Additionally, John has performed as Holmes in live radio-style presentations staged by the Great Escape State Company of Marshall, Michigan, further showcasing his commitment to educational programs and the arts.
